E-mail setup for Outlook App on Android

Follow our step-by-step guide to set up your e-mail account for Android phones and tablets.

Before you start...

Only your e-mail will be synchronized with your mobile device. Any calendar and contacts associated with that account remain stored on your computer.

Add account

Step 1

  1. Find the outlook app. either on your home screen or in applications list.
  2. Tap on the icon outlook.
  3. Tap on Add Accounts.

  1. Enter your Email Address.
  2. Tap on Continue.

Set Incoming Servers

Step 3

  1. You will be presented with two options for your 'Account Type'.
  2. Select IMAP in the list and tap it.
  3. Tap Next.

Set Outgoing Servers

Step 4

  1. Enter your Email address.
    This will be the e-mail address provided to you by Datacenta.
  2. Enter your Password. Make sure you have all parts to your email password.
    This must be the Username provided to you by Datacenta.
  3. Enter your Display Name.
    This is short name that goes with your email address, when you send and receive.
  4. Enter your Description optional.
    Will only been seen by you.

Set Sync Settings

  1. Enter your IMAP Incoming Mailserver in the IMAP Host Name box.
    You'll probably need to delete what is already entered there and change it to the details provided by Datacenta.
  2. In the Port box enter 993.
  3. In the Secuirty type box select SSL/TLS.
  4. Enter your Username. This isn't your email address.
    This must be the Username provided to you by Datacenta.
  5. Enter your Password. Make sure you have all parts to your email password.
    This must be the Username provided to you by Datacenta.
    If you have '****' and don't know the last characters called datacenta phone line.
  6. Tap on the toggle for Advanced Settings.

  1. Enter your SMTP Outcoming Mailserver in the SMTP Host Name box.
    You'll probably need to delete what is already entered there and change it to the details provided by Datacenta.
  2. In the Port box enter 465.
  3. In the Secuirty type box select SSL/TLS.
  4. Enter your Username. This isn't your email address.
    This must be the Username provided to you by Datacenta.
  5. Enter your Password. Make sure you have all parts to your email password.
    This must be the Username provided to you by Datacenta.
    If you have '****' and don't know the last characters called datacenta phone line.
  6. Tap on at the top right corner of the screen to accept.
