E-mail setup for Thunderbird Email Client

Follow our step-by-step guide to set up your e-mail account in Thunderbird.

Get Started

Step 1: Setup Email, Click - Email to start.

Step 2: Input your Account Details.
Input Account Details

Put in your:-
Name: first lastname
Email address: user@example.com
Password: put in the password provided to you. Then Click on the Box - Remember Password

Step 3: Setup Mail Servers
A menu will appear with Email Servers, Click - IMAP as the Protocol.
Click Configure Manually

Step 4: Add Mail Server Details.

Remove what is in the incoming and outgoing sections: Including the 'mail.' part Then input the mail server we provided details of (*)harvest.datacenta.net .

Then Click - Confirgure manually

Step 5: Select Connection option: TLS/SSL as the SSL: option, by using the v.
Then click - Re-test, This will set the right ports for you. Click Re-test

Step 6: Add your username which we provided you into both fields and then click Done.

Step 7: Get your Emails.

on the main page top left hand corner bar, there should be a button called Get messages, Just click - Get messages

Congratulations!

Thunderbird will be setup for your new email account.

If this fails, try re-entering the username and password in the two places required. This is the most common cause of problems!
