E-mail setup for Outlook 365

Follow our step-by-step guide to set up your e-mail account in Outlook 365.

If you have a option of Outlock (Classic) or (New) App, please download or use the Classic App of Outlook 365, then continue following this guide.
As our emails don't work with Outlook (New) App

Get Started

Step 1: Click File at the top-left of the Outlook 365 screen.
Click File

Step 3: A menu will appear - click Manage Profiles.

Step 4: Click Email Accounts.

Step 6: Click Manual setup or additional server type, and then click Next.

Step 7: Click POP or IMAP, and then click Next.

Change account type to IMAP and enter details.

Step 8: Change the account type to IMAP.
Fill in the account details that you have been provided by Datacenta. Ensure that in the User Name box you enter your username and not your actual name or e-mail address.

Step 9: Click More Settings at the bottom right.

Step 10: Click the Outgoing Server tab.

Setup Outgoing SMTP Server

Step 11: Click on My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication, then select Log on user. Then fill the username and password boxes with the the same username and password you entered previously.

Enter port numbers and encryption settings.

Step 12:

  1. Click on the Advanced tab.
  2. Set Incoming server (IMAP) to 993.
  3. Set Outgoing server (SMTP) to 465.
  4. In the two sections where it says to Use the following type of encrypted connection, change both to SSL/TLS.
  5. Click Ok at the bottom of this screen.

Step 13: You should be back at the the Add Account section. Click Next.

Congratulations!

Outlook 365 will complete setup by sending a test message and adding the new inbox to your Outlook application.

If this fails, try re-entering the username and password in the two places required. This is the most common cause of problems!
